I am Katya.
I am your professional encourager, your good habits ninja, your wellness advocate, and your safe space.
In order to introduce myself I would love to share with you my inspiration and motto. It keeps me on track to be well, to improve every day, and to inspire others to do so as well.
It is a prayer by The Little Price from the homonymous book by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry:
Lord, please teach me the art of small steps!
I am not asking for miracles or visions, but strength to get through the day. Give me the wit to understand at the right moment who and what really matter to me. Help me to choose how I portion out my time.
Give me the sense of what is essential and what comes second. I ask for strength, self-discipline and moderation so that I don’t get swept up in life, but can order my day wisely.
Help me to face up to the immediate as best I can and to recognize the present hour as the most important. Let me recognize that life is accompanied by difficulties and setbacks, which are chances to grow and mature.
Make of me a man capable of joining those who have gone below. Give me not what I want but what I need.
Teach me the art of small steps.

It all starts with your first step. A small, baby one, the one you take hesitantly. Then you take the next, more curious this time. With each step that follows your confidence increases. You might stumble, but you get back up stronger for it. Your small steps become strides, and then, before you know it, you're running!
In my life, I have taken a number of first steps on the way to transformation and longevity. I remember my first day in school, my first yoga class, my first college volleyball tournament, my first try to become a vegetarian, my first runners knee. I've moved countries, I've tried a range or physical activity from Tai Chi to Kickboxing, I've changed diets and I've binged on chocolate.
My path took me from a small town in Siberia to the Big Apple, from a degree in Business Administration to Art History, and then on to Functional Medicine. From feeling lost, to finding out what my purpose actually is: advocating self love and acceptance, and helping to inhabit the lives of others with healthy habits and behaviors, and promote lasting happiness.
What i've learned is that health is not a destination - it is a journey, and an exciting one!
I am inviting you to allow yourself to love you fully and to embark on the transformational health voyage with me!
I would love to teach you the art of small steps!
